*This FAQ was written using terminology and examples from a iOS7 . Your device may use different terms than this guide.
The host player should choose "Host a Game."
The guest player should choose "Join a Game."
First, decide which player will be the host.
Only host players can obtain and use power ups.
*Outide the ability to use items, there is no difference between the host and guest player.
After making sure the host player is ready, tap the "Join a Game" button.
WARNING!!
Always make sure the host player has tapped the host game button before attempting to join a game, otherwise the connection will fail.
If you accidently make a mistake, try starting over from step (3).
A list of device names will be displayed.
Tap the device name of the host player.
Note: If the host player can not be found, please see the multiplayer section of the FAQ's.
Wait while the connection is being established.
"Established connection with (Device Name)" will appear if successful.
Wait while the host player selects the stage.
Note: If the connection is not successful, please see the multiplayer section of the FAQ's
"Please Select Stage" will appear, tap "OK"
Depending on the progress in the game a list of levels will appear.
It is not possible to choose levels that a player has not yet completed.
A list of levels that both players can participate in will be displayed.
*Outside of the Expert Lever Stages, all Extra Stages can be selected
During the Select Stage screen, the "Synchronization" message may appear many times. This is normal and does not indicate any problems with the connection.
The Host Player may select power ups to use during battle.
The Guest Player must wait during this process.
*Power ups are only available to the host player and will only effect the host player.
As in single player, each level begins with an Introduction Scene.
The Beast introduction animation will play as normal.
*The game will not continue until both players have finished reading the on-screen text.
Once the Host Player has selected the power ups, tap "Battle Start"!
"The game will end if:
(a) One player dies
(b) Both players die
(c) You run out of time"
*You cannot continue in Multiplayer Mode.
As in single player, the results of a battle (rank, items) will be displayed at the end of level.
*Each player will get different items depending on their performance.
*S Rank players will recieve S Rank items.
After the battle you will receive BP if you meet the following conditions.
(a) It is your first time playing Multiplayer Mode in this pairing.
(b) You completed the battle.
(c) You have played with less than 11 people
You will receive 50 bonus BP for your first 9 unique partners.
Your 10th unique partner will give you a 100 BP bonus.
Try to play Multiplayer Mode with 10 unique people for a total of 550 bonus BP!
When the connection is canceled, multiplayer will end immediately.
The Host Player can cancel Multiplayer Mode by tapping the back button on the bottom right of the select stage screen.
You can also end Multiplayer Mode at any time by tapping the back button on the device itself.
Note: Even after Multiplayer Mode has been ended, the device's Bluetooth Mode is still on.
